Over the years Williamstown has been famous for its many hotels and pubs and at one time they said there were over forty and one on every corner. Today there are many less but the old buildings remain and fortunately some of the old ones have survived and flourished.

The Morningstar Hotel in Electa Street, built in 1890 is one of the oldest continually operating pubs in Williamstown and recent ownership changes and refurbishment have created a great new pub experience Williamstown. It has retained its old world Victorian feel even down to the old Bill’s horse trough outside.

The menu includes pub classics such as fish and chips, steak, chicken parmigiana, and innovative small dishes.

Foods are very well prepared, and good prices. Highly recommended.
